The aim of the production phase is to deliver on time and on cost : html pages, images, animations, scripta, database applications, etc.

The production phase can be very challenging for a large project that involves several professionals possibly working for different companies and from different locations.

If it has not been done before (as it should have), this is the latest possible time for defining a project manager who will make sure the production follows the plan. Making sure that every member of the team (and clients) are informed of the project status will be one of his/her major tasks : managing a password protected project site where all the information is concentrated can be helpful . But only the project manager must be allowed to add information to the site.

When production is completed and after internal validation, the site can be put online.

The maintenance document

The maintenance document is used as a guideline for updating and maintaning the site. It describes the constraints that must be followed in adding new pages, sections or scripts that are compatible with the current site.
